Sennelier's L'Aquarelle - Water colours from Lomond Art

My First Post Image

Artists love watercolours because of their radiance and spontaneity. They have a lightness of touch, fluidity and transparency which allows a quick translation of a particular light , movement, and shape. Both Cezanne and Turner loved to work with watercolours, the latter producing genuine masterpieces from the medium.

Sennelier’s L’Aquarelle offers incomparable brilliance using honey in the paints, which also acts as a preservative. They have been produced in the same way for more than a century using the best pigments and top quality Kordofan Gum Arabic as a bonding agent. It is the combination of Kordofan Gum Arabic and the honey which offers unrivalled quality of application, producing superb washes.

Sennelier have perfected their manufacturing process over many years, using traditional grinding stones which are rotated slowly to avoid heating the paste. The process is repeated in stages until the paste is as fine as can be, thus eradicating any particles which might interfere with the perfection of the wash.

If you are looking for superb watercolours to capture accurately the world’s diverse light, shape and hues, look no further than Sennelier's L’Aquarelle.  A genuine pleasure to paint with.

There are 98 shades in the range, available in Half Pans and 10ml tubes.
